Death Company - Assembly

Just got back into painting and I realized I ran out of gold paint!!! Not to panic, I'll just assemble some of my other models in the army. Here are some pictures for the Death Company, assembled and ready to be primed once the glue is dried. There's abundance of leftover bitz from this sprue that I can use for the other units in the army. I love plastic!

Sanguinary Guards Test Paint

Here we have it, my first blood angels miniature painted, a Sanguinary Guard. It's my first time using metallic paint extensively and I have to say I still have a lot to learn to get the shading right. But I guess I'll improve my strokes as I go along and continue with the rest of the squad members.

There's so much detail here compared to the normal space marines that a straightforward paint job like this already made it rich in detail and intricate.

Sanguinary guards assembled

The first unit which I have chosen to assemble is the Sanguinary Guards. The wonderfully sculpted models and intricate details and features are some of the reason why I chose Blood Angels as my next army. I've assembled most of the larger component but left out the wings and the jump pack for easier coloring and detailing.

Blood Angels Begin!

The best part about starting a new army is shopping for it!

I was torn between starting a blood angels army against an ultramarine army. I started the latter but now, with the newer release of models and a new codex, there's no excuse for me to hold back any further!

The new models are way too cool to ignore. I hope to bring this army to a level which I have done for my 4th Company Ultramarines...http://ventris-4thcompany.blogspot.com/

Thank you and I hope not to dissapoint!
